ITA is seeking a Mid-Level Power Platform Developer to join the team in Fort Eustis, Virginia in a hybrid position.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Mid-Level Power Platform Developer to support the U.S. Army T2COM mission. The Mid-Level Power Platform Developer will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain business applications and workflow automation using the Microsoft Power Platform.

 

The developer will work under the guidance of senior developers, solutions architects, and government stakeholders to translate functional requirements into secure, reliable, and user-friendly solutions. The position will have hands-on responsibility for developing Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, Co-Pilot Studio, Dataverse solutions, and Power BI reports, as well as integrating Power Platform capabilities with Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, APIs, databases, and other approved enterprise systems.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering solutions in a structured IT environment and understand the importance of security, documentation, testing, configuration management, and application lifecycle management within a federal or DoD environment.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Power Platform solutions supporting Army T2COM mission requirements.
  • Build and maintain Power Automate workflows to automate business processes, approvals, notifications, data movement, and recurring activities.
  • Develop and maintain Power Apps using established design patterns and technical standards.
  • Configure and maintain Microsoft Dataverse tables, relationships, forms, views, business rules, and security roles.
  • Develop Power BI reports and dashboards that provide users and leadership with actionable operational and mission data.
  • Integrate Power Platform applications with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dataverse, APIs, databases, and other approved enterprise systems.
  • Work with senior developers and solutions architects to implement technical designs and established development patterns.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and analysis sessions with functional users and stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements and user stories into technical tasks and working application functionality.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
  • Develop reusable components, workflows, formulas, and configuration patterns consistent with established development standards.
  • Configure Power Platform solutions and environments in accordance with program governance and security requirements.
  • Use appropriate Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices, including solutions, environment separation, source control, and controlled deployments.
  • Perform unit testing and support integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot application, workflow, data, integration, and user-experience issues.
  • Analyze and resolve defects identified during development, testing, and production operations.
  • Support deployment of applications and updates into test and production environments.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for applications after deployment.
  • Develop and maintain technical and user documentation.
  • Participate in code and solution reviews with senior developers and architects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve application performance, usability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Assist with data migration, cleansing, validation, and integration activities.
  • Support application inventory, configuration management, and other governance activities.
  • Follow established cybersecurity, configuration management, change management, and development procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of new Power Platform capabilities and recommend appropriate improvements to existing solutions.
  • Assist senior developers and architects with prototypes, proof-of-concept efforts, and modernization initiatives.
  • Support techincal training for Microsoft Power Platform capabilities and applications.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and technical assistance to junior developers and other team members as appropriate.

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development experience.
  • 2+ years of software development, application development, or related technical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing solutions using:
    • Power Apps
    • Power Automate
    • Dataverse
    • Power BI
    • SharePoint Online
    • Microsoft 365
    • Co-Pilot Studio - formerly known as Power Virtual Agent
  • Experience creating Power Automate flows involving approvals, notifications, conditional logic, data manipulation, and integrations.
  • Experience configuring Dataverse tables, relationships, forms, views, and security.
  • Experience creating job aids, user documentation, and/or training aids.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, and application integrations.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle concepts, testing methodologies, and change management.
  • Familiarity with ALM practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior technical personnel, functional users, and government stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned development tasks while knowing when to escalate technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Microsoft Power Platform Developer or related Microsoft certification.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant certification.
  • Experience with Azure services and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, Power Platform Pipelines, or other CI/CD technologies.
  • Experience developing custom connectors or consuming REST APIs.
  • Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, or API Management.
  • Experience with advanced Power BI data modeling and DAX.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Army, DoD, or other federal government programs.
  • Familiarity with RMF, NIST, DISA STIGs, Zero Trust, FISMA, or related federal cybersecurity requirements.
  • Experience working in Azure Government or another government cloud environment.
  • Active Secret security clearance.

Pay range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000 annually

 

This position has a broad compensation range due to the complexities of government contracting, including contract pricing, labor category requirements, funding parameters, and varying levels of candidate experience and qualifications.
