ITA is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer to join the team in Washington, DC supporting the United States Coast Guard. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-time engineering Test and Evaluation (T&E) support to the USCG in accordance with the program’s Test & Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) including documentation, tracking, and reporting of large vessel test and evaluation requirements throughout the acquisition process.
  • Coordinate T&E events by providing recommendations for test criteria or reviewing test criteria provided by the shipbuilder, test authority or test agent against program established guidelines and performance specifications and making recommendations to the Government.
  • Coordinate test schedules between the program, the shipbuilder, the product line, the test agent and the test authority. coordinate actions previously identified during a testing event for issue resolution, based on the conduction of requirements analysis with the T&E IPT, the Test Management and Oversight Team (TMOT), and the specific Surface Program Sponsor.
  • Directly support Combat System Certification Panel approval process for UCG systems, along with identifying and tracking cyber posture of Combat systems, communication systems, and Navy Type Navy Owned (NTNO) equipment.

Qualifications

  • Completion of all requirements for a DHS/DAWIA Systems Engineering Level III certification, DHS/DAWIA Test and Evaluation Level III certification, Certified System Engineering Professional, or International Test and Evaluation Association certification.
  • Qualified candidate(s) shall have a minimum of ten (10) years experience supporting Major Acquisition Program(s) (DHS/USCG Level 1, DoD ACAT I or equivalent) in a systems engineering/T&E role.
  • Proficient with CASE tools such as MEARS and DOORS
