ITA is seeking a Security Forces Armorer Support Professional to join the team in Qatar.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work with the United States Air Force Central Command at Shaw AFB, South Carolina. The role involves providing direct support to the 9th Air Force Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, offering Base Security Operations and Support services at various locations, including Al Dhafra AB, UAE; Ali Al Salem AB, Kuwait; Al Mubarak Air Base, Kuwait; Prince Sultan AB (PSAB), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA); Muwaffaq-Salti AB (MSAB), Jordan; Al Udeid AB, Qatar, and within the continental U.S.

 

The selected candidate will: 

  • Manage the accountability, protection, issuance and retrieval of firearms, communications equipment, and related assets.
  • Account for, issue, and provide annual forecast for munitions needed for operations.
  • Manage armorers and establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and daily task coordination for the armory.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct all armory training. Responsible for documentation of qualifications upon completion.
  • Be knowledgeable of U.S. Air Force weapons maintenance and parts processes and should be able to conduct maintenance on weapons.
  • Manage armory equipment as primary or alternate equipment custodian.
  • Be responsible for cleaning of all unassigned weapons.

Qualifications

Candidates must have:

  • Three (3) years of experience managing a DoD Armory.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Additional qualifications are desired:
    • Training and experience with U.S. Air Force Equipment Management Process.
  • A U.S. Air Force 7 level skill identification in Combat Arms.
  • Experience with U.S. Air Force munitions forecasting.
  • Must possess a Department of Defense approved SECRET security clearance to perform duties under this task order.

This position is subject to the provisions of the Lautenberg Amendment. All employees must successfully pass all medical screening as required per CENTCOM deployment standards.

 

 

Under the 9AF ESFS contract, all applicants are subject to an in-depth background check to ensure regulation compliance.  Eligible applicants will not have any of the following:

 

  • Pending criminal or civil charges (including divorce/child custody proceedings)
  • Felony arrest record
  • Alcohol related arrest in the last five years
  • Any type of moral turpitude arrest record/history (including, but not limited to, prostitution, pandering, voyeurism, public indecency)
  • Any type of involvement in hate crimes
  • History of violence
  • Involvement in any group or organization that espouses extralegalviolence as a legitimate means to achieve an end
