ITA is seeking a Chief of Growth to join the team at ITA Headquarters in Newport News, Virginia. 

Responsibilities

The Chief of Growth, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for working to improve ITA’s market position and achieve financial growth. This position helps to define long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, proactively pursues these opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals, and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Additional Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Engage with existing and potential new customers in order to understand their challenges to determine how ITA's capabilities might assist them in meeting these challenges.
  • Meet with current and potential customers, often being required to make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict their customers’ future needs.
  • Must understand the company’s mission, vision and strategy to assist in achieving long-term company goals.
  • Work with the internal team, teaming partners, and prospective clients to identify and capture opportunities to provide solutions to existing and potential new clients.
  • Work with ITA's subject matter experts and data analytics team to develop compelling strategies that demonstrate ITA's ability to address customer challenges effectively.
  • Grow, maintain, and leverage your network to meet potential customers, engaging and building relationships with them to uncover opportunities for providing solutions.
  • Work with the team to develop proposals that address customers' needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Populate the pipeline with all potential opportunities and continuously update the pipeline with new information as it becomes available.
  • Attend industry events, such as association functions and conferences, to gather and share insights on market trends and insights.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Hire, train and mentor new Customer Solutions team members to improve overall performance in growth and business development for ITA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of business development, sales, or marketing experience, preferably in the Federal Defense market space.
  • Proven track record of winning prime contract opportunities using a structured capture process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • An MBA is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance

Desired Experience:

  • Demostrated success with submitted proposals that led to awards in multiple markets.
  • Knowledgeable in the defense mission space, to include utilization of SBIR Phase III contract vehicles.
  • Diverse and expansive network of contacts in both government and industry organizations.
  • Proposal and technical writing experience in support of target markets.
  • Comfortable meeting with new customers and diverse organizations.
  • Experience/knowledge of GovWin or other opportunity research tools.
