ITA is seeking a Junior Power Platform Developer to join the team in Fort Eustis, Virginia in a hybrid position.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated Junior Power Platform Developer to support the U.S. Army T2COM mission. The Junior Power Platform Developer will assist in the design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and sustainment of applications and workflow automation using the Microsoft Power Platform.

 

Working under the guidance of senior developers, solutions architects, business analysts, and government stakeholders, the Junior Power Platform Developer will help transform business and mission requirements into secure, user-friendly, and maintainable technology solutions.

 

The position provides an opportunity to develop practical experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 while working within established software development, cybersecurity, governance, and application lifecycle management processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development, configuration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
  • Develop and maintain basic Power Apps using established design patterns and technical standards.
  • Create and maintain Power Automate workflows for notifications, approvals, data updates, and routine business processes.
  • Assist with configuration of Microsoft Dataverse tables, columns, relationships, forms, and views.
  • Develop and maintain basic Power BI reports and dashboards under the direction of senior technical personnel.
  • Configure and use standard Power Platform connectors for approved data sources and services.
  • Assist with integration of Power Platform applications with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Dataverse, and other approved systems.
  • Work with senior developers and architects to implement approved technical designs and development standards.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, user interviews, demonstrations, and technical working sessions.
  • Convert assigned requirements and user stories into application functionality under appropriate technical guidance.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, stand-ups, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
  • Perform unit testing and assist with integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot application, workflow, data, and configuration issues and escalate complex issues as appropriate.
  • Assist with deployment of Power Platform solutions to development, test, and production environments.
  • Follow established Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes and procedures.
  • Maintain application and technical documentation, including configuration information, user guides, test documentation, and workflow descriptions.
  • Assist with data validation, data migration, and data quality activities.
  • Participate in peer reviews and technical reviews.
  • Follow established cybersecurity, configuration management, change management, and software development procedures.
  • Assist with maintaining application inventories and other Power Platform governance documentation.
  • Support production applications and assist with resolving user-reported issues.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve existing business processes.
  • Assist and support techincal training for Microsoft Power Platform capabilities and applications.
  • Assist and support technical documentation.
  • Perform other technical duties as assigned in support of T2COM mission requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
  • 1- 3 years of experience in software development, application development, information technology, business systems, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform and demonstrated ability or willingness to develop hands-on skills with:
    • Power Apps
    • Power Automate
    • Dataverse
    • Power BI
    • SharePoint
    • Microsoft 365
  • Basic understanding of application development and software development lifecycle concepts.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and data structures.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and/or other data management tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues and follow established procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior developers, architects, analysts, and government stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900) certification.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Developer or Functional Consultant certification.
  • Experience creating Power Apps or Power Automate solutions through academic, professional, internship, or personal projects.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and basic web services.
  • Familiarity with Azure or Microsoft cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, or other source-control technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of Power BI data modeling and DAX.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Army, DoD, or federal government programs.
  • Experience working in a government cloud or other controlled IT environment.
  • Active Secret security clearance.

Pay range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 annually.

 

This position has a broad compensation range due to the complexities of government contracting, including contract pricing, labor category requirements, funding parameters, and varying levels of candidate experience and qualifications.
