ITA is seeking an Operations Analyst / Simulation Developer to join the team.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Analyst with a strong background in simulation development to join our team supporting various manufacturing customers. The ideal candidate will apply their expertise in simulation modeling and operations analysis to enhance decision-making processes, optimize operational efficiency, and support client objectives. 

  • Simulation Development & Support:

    • Design, develop, and implement simulation models to support client operational analysis, mission planning, logistics optimization, and system performance evaluation.
    • Utilize various simulation tools (e.g., discrete-event simulation, system dynamics, agent-based modeling) to model complex systems and processes, ensuring accurate representation of process flow and outcomes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process managers, engineers, and analysts, to understand operational requirements and deliver simulation solutions tailored to the clients needs.
  • Data Analysis & Optimization:

    • Conduct in-depth analysis of operations, performance metrics, and simulation results to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
    • Leverage quantitative analysis techniques to provide actionable insights, recommend process improvements, and optimize operations.
  • Operations Research & Process Improvement:

    • Apply principles of operations research (OR), process engineering, and systems engineering to model, analyze, and improve operational processes.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing simulation results to inform the development of optimized operational workflows, strategies, and risk management practices.
  • Report Writing & Communication:

    • Produce clear and comprehensive reports on simulation results, analyses, and recommendations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
    • Present findings to stakeholders, ensuring that complex data is communicated effectively and in a manner that drives strategic decision-making.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Engage with clients and external stakeholders to gather operational data, define project requirements, and deliver simulation models that meet mission objectives.
    • Work within multidisciplinary teams to ensure that simulation solutions align with customer requirements, policies, and objectives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations analysis, with a strong background in simulation development and application.
  • Expertise in simulation modeling tools (e.g., ExtendSIM, Simio, AnyLogic, Simul8, Arena, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of operations research, simulation design, optimization techniques, and quantitative analysis methods.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Java for simulation development and data analysis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and evolving priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Skills:

  • Master's preferred.
  • Proven experience supporting defense industrial production projects.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, security protocols, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (or current clearance, if applicable).

Pay range for this position is $119,000 - $130,000 annually.
