ITA is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Subject Matter Expert (Computer Scientist/Operations Research Analyst) to join the team.

 

Please note this opportunity is contingent upon successful contract award, expected Summer 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of assigned tasks and projects.
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to team.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards, metrics, and reviews deliverables.
  • Clear communication skills: conducts meetings and responsible for informing Government on status and analysis.  
  • Make recommendations to SAF/CND and support the establishment of enterprise AI infrastructure through evaluation of industry capabilities (commercial off the shelf and Government off the shelf) and best practices. 
  • Support development and scoping of the DAF AI Technology stack, MLOps pipeline, and model card and algorithm standards and requirements
  • Support external organizations with analysis and recommendations for technology and AI infrastructure capabilities, such as Wingman AI, Fuel AI, RedForce, ADAx Proving Ground, AI Observatory, AI Accelerator, and others.
  • Provide SME support on AI capabilities; predictive analytics, data science, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, process automation, voice-enabled technology, machine learning, and generative AI.
  • Develop and maintain RedForce AI Marketplace Capability Tracker
  • Maintain RAI Assessment Tool for AI developers within the DAF to use to determine to what degree, their AI tools are congruent with existing guidance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Government experience preferred.
  • Candidates should have a deep understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and reinforcement learning.
  • Proficient in programming languages commonly used in AI development, such as Python, R, or Java.
