ITA is seeking a Software Developer I (Business Intelligence) to join the team at Eglin Air Force Base is Florida.

Responsibilities

The Software Developer I (Business Intelligence) will support our customer at Eglin Air Force Base, primarily using Power BI and other Power Platform tools. This role emphasizes high-priority data collection, including automation processes. The customer's data is mainly stored in SharePoint Lists, Dataverse, and other cloud databases. We utilize Microsoft's Azure, Power Platform technologies, and Office 365 as our cloud platform. A key responsibility is the reporting and visualization of data to enable the customer to make timely, informed decisions. In this context, the Software Developer II will develop software using DAX, measures, and visuals. Additionally, identifying and understanding development failures is critical for ongoing product development and delivery to the customer.

 

Functional Areas of Responsibility:

  • Executing Power BI, Power Query, Dataverse, data modeling principles, and SQL development.
  • Working directly with customers and/or stakeholders to gather requirements to design intuitive, streamlined data solutions.
  • Utilizing both DoD and GCC High cloud environments:
    • Design custom forms and lists in Microsoft Forms and Power Apps.
    • Create Dataverse tables to support business applications.
    • Develop Workflows in Power Automate.
    • Develop Power BI Dashboards and reports.
  • Collaborating with developers and analysts on solutions and contributing to team training / knowledge sharing meetings.
  • Briefing project status updates in meetings with corporate leadership and/or customer.

What you will be doing daily:

  • Meeting with military/government professionals to establish requirements.
  • Creating solutions that start with Databases and data, then Data Entry, then Reporting and meeting the need of the end-user.
  • Attending meetings to present Agile iterations to the end-users and collecting feedback.
  • Utilizing Teams for each project to store files, communicate, and keep project artifacts accessible to the company.
  • Developing the Proof of Concept on our company environment – then exporting the PoC to the customer’s environment and further development including creation of training videos, documents, checklists, and more.
  • Being communicative with entire developer team: know what you are working on and where it is going to avoid duplicative work.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in Power BI development and DAX
  • 1-3 years’ experience in Microsoft Power Platform development, to include:
    • Microsoft Power Automate
    • Microsoft Power Apps
    • Microsoft Virtual Agent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Tool Suite.
  • Experience building and maintaining workflows and datasets.

Additional preferences:

  • BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related degree.
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodology
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with Microsoft Databases
