ITA International is a global service provider leveraging subject matter expertise, data analytics and technology ensuring mission success for customers, “In The Arena.”
ITA is seeking an Operations Research Analyst IV to join our ITA team in Reston, VA.
Perform work on the SETA team for DARPA’s development of the Secure Advanced Framework for Simulation and Modeling (SAFE-SiM) will provide an integrated architecture for theater-wide, multi-domain, faster- than-real-time, mission-level modeling and simulation, and it promises to deliver a revolutionary new capability to the Department of Defense (DoD). Because this break-through capability represents a new paradigm, replacing traditional, pre-determined “kill chains” with complex, adaptive “kill webs” of composable warfighting elements, effective application of this emerging technology will require development of innovative analytic concepts, techniques, and processes that can be transitioned to the military services and combatant commands along with the SAFE-SiM technology. New analytic constructs for maximizing the effectiveness of the technology and enabling users in the field to quickly adopt and apply the full potential of SAFE- SiM’s capabilities are also required. Perduco established the Analytic Process Team (APT) to meet the requirements for this work. Of note, Perduco is not directly developing the SAFE-SiM software; rather, the APT will assess the viability of SAFE-SiM proofs-of-concept currently being developed by third party performers, and then work closely with the performer(s) in Phases 2 and 3 to determine the full feature set of SAFE-SiM to ensure its successful deployment and transition to Department of Defense stakeholders.
In support of those studies, the APT will develop operational scenarios and vignettes for provision to the SAFE-SiM performers. These realistic, relevant scenarios and vignettes will be at the classified and unclassified levels for all phases of the project. Finally, the APT will develop evaluation criteria to support a DARPA decision on a final product to utilize and develop to Full Operational Capability (FOC). In parallel, the APT will develop and refine an analytic process to support the SAFE-SiM M&S platform and publish that process complete with workflows, data requirements, and product expectations.
Clearance – TS
Degree – BS/MS
Experience – at least 15 years
Analyzes actual and predictable, interacting, operational activities of a military, governmental, or business system to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision- making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques. Participates in planning, scheduling, and coordinating selected analytical process phases or assists in working any selection of subcomponents of the exercise/gaming simulation activity. Devises modeling & simulation (M&S) and measuring measurement techniques; utilizes mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational applied mathematicals techniques (linear programming, game theory, probability theory, symbolic language, etc.) and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines. Possesses specific knowledge of analytical models, simulations, and gaming tools. Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role. Develops technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
