    ITA International is seeking a qualified M-SOFS Assistant Armorer at JEB Little Creek, in Virginia Beach, VA.

     

    This position is contingent upon successful contract award, estimated for January 2020.

     

    Responsibilities

    Summary
    Experience: Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements.
    Must be prepared to complete the Naval Special Warfare Enhanced Organizational Level Armorer Course upon soonest available opening.
    Must be able to lift items up to 75 lbs.
    Must have at least three years’ experience repairing small arms.
    Education: None

    Job Purpose:The Assistant Armorer will Unit Civilian Armorer, the Weapons Program Manager, the Unit Weapons Officer and Weapons LCPO in the day-to-day operation of the weapons department to include; Armory, Ordnance and VAS divisions.

    Responsibilities: Have thorough knowledge of the principles of operation, disassembly/reassembly procedures and troubleshooting of NSW and USSOCOM specific weapons, Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS) and weapon accessories from here to be referred to as Combat Weapons Systems (CWS).
    Conducts assessments and required repairs to all CWS to include depot-level repairs to applicable systems.
    Assists in CWS inventory, storage, receipt, issue, and movements to meet all security and safety regulations.

    Qualifications

    Experience & Knowledge
    Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements.
    Must be prepared to complete the Naval Special Warfare Enhanced Organizational Level Armorer Course upon soonest available opening.
    Must be able to lift items up to 75 lbs.
    Must have at least three years’ experience repairing small arms.
    Be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs.
    Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.


    Education & Certification
    Possess a valid state driver’s license
    Security Eligibility
    All contractor personnel require a minimum SECRET Security Clearance
