ITA International is currently seeking a Academic Training Support to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA.


This position is contingent upon successful contract award end of 2019.



- Provide academic training and education in person, via distant learning, or a blended approach.
- Develop, maintain and distribute instructional material supported by outlines, lesson plans, reference material, briefs, lectures, videos, scenarios, animations, handouts, student and instructor workbooks and study guides, testing materials, critiques and feedback.
- Provide tailored teaching products and/or scenarios as approved by course instructors.
- Assist government representative/stakeholders to maintain, update and standardize the instructor certification program and ensure instructor knowledge and presentation skills maintain current credentials.  When conducting instruction, Subcontractors will undergo evaluation by students using EWTGL Instructor Rating Forms and by designated command personnel in accordance with service regulations and EWTGL Academics SOP governing the instruction at this facility.  Standards for Subcontractors will not exceed those placed upon active duty or government employees.  Instructors are expected to deliver accurate information and valid assessment in a professional manner to students, staff and other stakeholders during training or interacting with the command. The Government shall be the final approving authority for the instructor certification program.
- Provide government representative/stakeholders assistance to maintain reference library (virtual and hard copy) of unclassified manuals, documents and reference materials required to conduct training, development and maintenance of curriculum.
- Provide support for curriculum review, development and implementation for academics of warfare training requirements.
- Provide analysis and recommendations for preferred course/instruction delivery, face-to-face instruction, and synthetic training delivery.  Requires close coordination between course/program leads for proper identification of requirements.
- Assist with augmentation and back-up assistance with synthetic and war-game operations.
Primary Location: EWTGL (JEB, Virginia Beach, VA)



- Experienced subject matter expert in Academics Training support.
- Experience training specialist.
- Experience conducting fleet training analysis to identify gaps, training needs and solutions.
- Experience developing and modifying training event/exercise scenarios.
- Experience delivering training in person and/or online.
- Experience developing training curriculums.
- Experience managing training projects.
- Experience designing custom training to meet Fleet/Joint training objectives.
- Excellent public speaker/presentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Bachelors degree and Six (6) years experience or Eight (8) years experience with no degree.
- Five (5) years experience as a senior instructor/evaluator.
- Three (3) years experience in academic instruction with a navy training command.
