    ITA International (ITA) is a provider of integrated support services to include analysis, planning, training, acquisition management, cyber/intelligence, engineering, logistics, and maritime support services to government, non-governmental organizations and commercial customers worldwide.                                                              


    ITA International is seeking a qualified candidate to support the International Affairs Division of the National Guard Bureau’s Joint Staff (NGB-J53), which is responsible for the State Partnership Program (SPP) and other international affairs and security cooperation programs of the National Guard.


    -- Analyze National Guard Bureau (NGB) and Department of Defense (DoD) policies (directives, instructions, issuances, notices, etc.) and other documents requiring NGB review.
    -- Draft information papers, executive summaries, and briefings for senior leaders.
    -- Attend meetings and workshops with interagency and intergovernmental stakeholders, draft executive summaries and trip reports, and incorporate information into products.
    -- Organize the annual SPP training workshop, to include identification of venues, preparation of budget estimates, and drafting of other supporting documents.
    -- Maintain and update the SPP website and the NGB J53 site on Guard Knowledge Online (GKO) [Note: This is limited to updating the material on the site; the employee is not responsible for maintaining the hardware or software].


    • Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s degree in relevant field of study (preferred).
    • Current active Secret security clearance (required); ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance (preferred).
    • Successful experience in: (1) researching and developing analysis of or inputs to joint strategy or policy through info papers, reports, briefings; (2) supporting and briefing senior military and civilian officials (required).
    • Demonstrated professional oral, written, and analytic skills (required).
    • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite to develop professional products (preferred).
    • Knowledge of the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility (Middle East and Central Asia) (preferred)
    • Experience with DoD security cooperation programs and related policies and regulations (preferred)
    • Familiarity with the Global Theater Security Cooperation Management Information System (G-TSCMIS) (preferred)
    • Three years of experience at National Guard Bureau, Combatant Command, or higher joint staff (preferred).
    • Experience in the National Guard (preferred).
    • Familiarity with: (1) roles and missions of the National Guard in the homeland and in support of overseas missions, including duty statuses (State Active Duty; Title 32; Title 10); (2) structure and functions of a joint staff; (3) core documents pertinent to the National Guard or J5 functions, e.g. DoD Directive 5105.77 “National Guard Bureau”; DoD Instruction 5111.20, “State Partnership Program”; Joint Strategic Planning System documents; Joint Publication 5-0 Joint Operation Planning (preferred).
