    ITA International (ITA) is a provider of integrated support services to include analysis, planning, training, acquisition management, cyber/intelligence, engineering, logistics, and maritime support services to government, non-governmental organizations and commercial customers worldwide.       


    ITA is currently recruiting for a Landscape Architect for our Hampton Roads or Great Lakes location.  This position is contingent upon contract award. 


    The incumbent provides independent, timely and professional specialized landscape architecture support, services and consultation for the planning, design, construction and maintenance of facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other Supported Commands, including minor works projects, specific projects, special projects, military construction (MILCON), demolition, maintenance, space utilization and facilities development. The incumbent participates in  conferences with project stakeholders and collaborates with other engineering and architectural disciplines to ensure system coordination and integration with specific project requirements.
    Typical projects include: landscape architecture services for design and construction contract documents for such facilities as officer’s and enlisted men’s quarters, chapels, training buildings, clubs and recreational facilities, administrative, medical/dental and community facilities.
    This position requires the ability to work in close cooperation with architects and engineering design personnel to support the development of integrated designs appropriate to the facilities concerned, within governing control costs designs and regulatory requirements. Participate as an active member of multi-discipline teams responsible for design charrettes for both in-house and A/E (Architect/Engineer) projects.
    The incumbent effectively deals with a wide variety of people, senior military officers, base commanders and civilians for the presentation of landscape designs.


    Professional registration as a Landscape Architect (RLA) is highly desirable.
    A minimum of 5 years of professional landscape architecture code compliant facilities design experience for new construction, including renovation design experience, is required.
    Completion of a course of studies in a landscape architecture program from a college or university earning a bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture, supplemented by a considerable amount of hands-on design experience, is required.
    Knowledge, as demonstrated by recent relevant experience, to prepare landscape architecture designs that meet functional and aesthetic requirements, and produce final working drawings for building sites, such as multi-story office buildings, operational facilities, personnel support facilities, industrial type shops, housing, and other facilities normally found on military installations.
    Knowledge of landscape architecture concepts, principles, and practices applicable to the full range of duties concerned with the design, layout, and building sites.
    Knowledge of related architectural/engineering disciplines (i.e., architecture and civil) to assure that areas of overlapping responsibilities receive proper design consideration and that total project objectives are met.
    Ability to produce results of analysis in writing and the ability to consolidate the findings of others, and evaluate recommendations and facts.
    Ability to make oral presentations of proposed designs and results of studies.
    Knowledge of budgeting, planning, and project management techniques, including the ability to coordinate the work of others and motivate and lead individuals of a variety of backgrounds.
