    ITA International (ITA) is a provider of integrated support services to include analysis, planning, training, acquisition management, cyber/intelligence, engineering, logistics, and maritime support services to government, non-governmental organizations and commercial customers worldwide.       


    ITA is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Hampton Roads or Great Lakes location.  This position is contingent upon contract award. 


    The incumbent provides independent, timely and professional specialized electrical engineering support, services and consultation for the planning, design, construction and maintenance of facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other Supported Commands, including minor works projects, specific projects, special projects, military construction (MILCON), demolition, maintenance, space utilization and facilities development. The incumbent participates in conferences with project stakeholders and collaborates with other engineering and architectural disciplines to ensure system coordination and integration with specific project requirements.
    Typical projects include new and renovation of administration, industrial, research, recreational, medical, security, waterfront, airfield, and living facilities.
    Typical types of work include: interior and exterior lighting; facility power distribution systems - including standby power generation; telecommunication systems - including voice, data, cable TV and Wi-Fi; security systems – including closed circuit TV; grounding systems; lightning protection systems; medical facility systems; audio visual systems; and site electrical distribution – including medium-voltage distribution switchgear, substations, and transformers; site systems distribution; and overhead and underground distribution.
    The incumbent has the ability to apply new developments or experimental theories in electrical engineering to problems not readily treatable by conventionally accepted methods. The engineer has obtained a mastery of advanced concepts, principles and practices in electrical engineering that enables them to serve as a recognized subject matter expert. Applies engineering skills to effectively assess customer's requirements and develop innovative solutions.


    Registration as Professional Engineer (PE) in the discipline of Electrical Engineering is required.
    A minimum of 10 years of professional electrical engineering code compliant facilities design experience for new construction, including renovation design experience, is required.
    Completion of a course of studies accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineers and Technology (ABET) for an electrical engineering program from a college or university for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, supplemented by a considerable amount of hands-on facilities design experience, is required.
    Expert knowledge of DOD and Navy guide specifications, criteria and policy, industry codes and standards, and standard practices as related to electrical engineering design, including the NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), IEEE C2 (National Electrical Safety Code), and the International Building Code.
    Expert knowledge of local, state, federal, and foreign country laws, codes, and other statutory requirements affecting electrical engineering design throughout the NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic AOR.
    Knowledge of related architectural and engineering fields and their associated impacts as related to electrical engineering design.
    Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and/or REVIT software, Microsoft Office products, electrical engineering design and analysis software and other applicable DoD computer systems and software used by the Command.
    Ability to produce results of analysis in writing and consolidate findings of others and evaluate recommendations and facts. Ability to make oral presentations of proposed designs and results of studies.
    Knowledge of budgeting, planning and project management techniques, including the ability to coordinate the work of others and lead teams.
    Knowledge of and full compliance with Safety Policy and Guidance and use of personal protective equipment.
