    ITA International (ITA) is a provider of integrated support services to include analysis, planning, training, acquisition management, cyber/intelligence, engineering, logistics, and maritime support services to government, non-governmental organizations and commercial customers worldwide.       


    ITA is currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineering Technician for our Hampton Roads or Great Lakes location.  This position is contingent upon contract award. 


    Typical projects include: new and renovation of administration, industrial, research, recreational, medical, security, waterfront, airfield, and living facilities.
    Typical types of work include: interior and exterior lighting; facility power distribution systems - including standby power generation; telecommunication systems - including voice, data, cable TV and Wi-Fi; security systems – including closed circuit TV; grounding systems; lightning protection systems; medical facility systems; audio visual systems; and site electrical distribution – including medium-voltage distribution switchgear, substations, and transformers; site systems distribution; and overhead and underground distribution.
    The incumbent makes site investigation field trips to project sites, as required, to collect all pertinent data to perform design support and develop project scope by inspection of existing conditions and through meetings with sponsoring activity.
    The incumbent coordinates activities with other engineers and architects to ensure that final detailed working drawings, specifications, and RFPs are properly integrated with the building systems.


    A minimum of 7 years of experience is required in the field of designing and producing electrical facility design drawings and specifications.
    Substantial knowledge and practical application of electrical design concepts, theories, principles, practices, and techniques necessary to plan, design, construct and maintain a wide range of shore based engineering projects.
    Knowledge of DoD and Navy guide specifications, criteria and policy, industry codes and standards, and standard practices as related to electrical engineering design, including the NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), IEEE C2 (National Electrical Safety Code), and the International Building Code.
    Knowledge of local, state, federal, and foreign country laws, codes, and other statutory requirements affecting electrical engineering design throughout the NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic AOR.
    Knowledge of related architectural and engineering fields and their associated impacts as related to electrical engineering design.
    Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and/or REVIT software, Microsoft Office products, electrical engineering design and analysis software and other applicable DoD computer systems and software used by the Command.
    Ability to make oral presentations of proposed designs and construction issues.
    Knowledge of and full compliance with Safety Policy and Guidance and use of personal protective equipment.
