    ITA International (ITA) is a provider of integrated support services to include analysis, planning, training, acquisition management, cyber/intelligence, engineering, logistics, and maritime support services to government, non-governmental organizations and commercial customers worldwide.

     

    ITA International is seeking qualified candidates to join their team in Glynco, GA as Certified Training Instructors.  This position is contingent upon contract award.

    Responsibilities

    Instructors will:
    Provide instruction on the nomenclature of the devices, i.e., x-ray machine, walkthrough metal detector, hand held metal detector, etc.
    Provide instruction in the operation of the devices.
    Provide “real world” scenarios that illustrate issues that occur in the field.
    Provide both discussions and hands-on exercises to demonstrate proper techniques for using each device.
    Administer laboratory exercise
    Administer Practical Examinations
    Provide training related to current and anticipated tactical, operational and strategic threats.
    Provide feedback from participants and make recommendations to FPS concerning improvements/changes to the curriculum.
    Provide feedback to FPS concerning the operational status of the equipment used in the training.
    Assist in the development and/or revision of lesson plans relative to the National Weapons Detection Training Program.
    Assist in the development/revision of lesson plans relative to Protective Security Officer operations.
    Other duties as may be assigned relative to the National Weapons Detection Training Program and/or the Protective Security Officer operations efforts.
     

    Qualifications


    Bachelor’s Degree – In accordance with Section B.2.1 of the OASIS contract, FPS will consider a deviation of experience versus degree.
    Minimum of five (5) years as a certified instructor in law enforcement/security techniques and principals. Certification can be from the federal, state, or local law enforcement academies.
    Shall be proficient in instructional techniques and be able to apply adult learning principals in the classroom and practical exercise lab environment.
    Shall possess experience in security screening operations to include the utilization of security screening equipment, which includes but is not limited to, x-ray screening machines, walk-through metal detectors and hand-held metal detectors.
    Shall also have experience in the application of behavioral recognition to identify pre-incident indicators.
    IShall possess extensive security screening experience, both in the operation of and the instruction of the devices and equipment (x-ray machine, walk-through metal detector, hand held metal detector, etc.)
    Preference is given to instructors with government facility/sector security screening experience.
    Instructors shall be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
