    ITA is currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer for our USCG HQ Washington DC location. 

    Responsibilities

    The Electrical Engineer must:

    • Document design development activities for modifications to NSC systems.
    • Conduct studies and analyses as assigned by the technical lead for the development of internal CG-9321 TCTOs.
    • Track TCTO's/EC's through the change process.
    • Review all externally developed ECPs/ECs/TCTOs for technical sufficiency and report discrepancies to the technical lead prior to the Technical Advisory Group review.
    • Reviews technical deliverables pertaining to all HM&E and C4ISR systems, including the ship’s structure, auxiliary, electrical generation and distribution, and damage control systems, as well as all electronics and communications systems to analyze and provide recommendations and input to the Government in these areas.
    • Assist in the review and analysis of technical data to assure conformance to operational and contractual specification requirements 

     

     

    Qualifications

    • At least seven (7) years demonstrated experience with government vessel design, construction, and repair with primary focus on Machinery Control and Monitoring Systems (MCMS), electrical wiring, schematics, cabling and electrical/mechanical controls systems. 
    • Demonstrated experience performing schematic reviews and electrical system analysis including load distribution, vital/non-vital loads and LVR/LVP requirements in order to evaluate planned engineering changes in support of major shipbuilding acquisition and repair projects


    In addition, all personnel must:

     

    • Be proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and MS Outlook and other software/tools provided on the Coast Guard Standard Workstation and provided for a specific position
    • Secret Clearance

    Preferred:

    • Desired at least 1 year demonstrated experience with shipbuilding acquisitions
    • Desired of at least 1 year demonstrated experience supporting a major system acquisition program (DHS/USCG Level I, DoD ACAT I or equivalent)
    • Documented experience with AutoCad, SFLC Central, Teamcenter and the USCG STIP is preferred.
