ITA currently recruiting a Facilities Project Manager to provide facility support services to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) performed at Government facilities located in Norfolk and Portsmouth Virginia.


  • Directs the maintenance and repair staff performing building maintenance, minor construction activities and maintenance service contracts. Directs activities through the Team Lead and Building Managers. Plans, develops and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations.
  • Directs subordinate managers and staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, ensuring activities are consistent with policies, procedures, laws, regulations, goals and objectives. Creates opportunities for improved performance, learning and development of staff. Identifies and addresses problems or conflicts.
  • Oversees development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs. Collaborates with staff to develop new maintenance and inspection programs. Monitors and evaluates program effectiveness.
  • Oversees service contracts related to building maintenance and repair functions.
  • Develops, recommends and maintains long-range planning for staff and buildings, including development of new maintenance and repair programs for buildings under construction. Work closely with Architects and Engineers to ensure maintenance, repair and life cycle requirements are included in new construction projects.
  • Provides weekly and monthly Project Status Reports.
  • Respond to building emergencies as required day and night.
  • Read and interpret documents, such as building plans, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical specifications and procedure manuals.
  • Evaluate conditions and recommend effective technical solutions.
  • Safely and correctly apply building and equipment maintenance and repair techniques.
  • Manage time well, perform multiple tasks and organize diverse activities.


  • Has broad scope of maintenance, operational and staff responsibility and directs through managers and supervisors. Must have hands-on experience of all issues related to maintenance and repair of all building's components.
  • Typically, >8 years in increasing responsible project leadership role; typically managed one or more projects involving others. Demonstrated communication effectiveness, and good project management discipline. Ability to foster trusting relationships with colleagues and clients. Outstanding grasp of information technology concepts and processes. Demonstrated aptitude for effective leadership of staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a required government security clearance and access to CLASSIFIED information and up to and including SECRET. All personnel are required to have a favorable adjudicated National Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) with clearance eligibility determined by DOD Central Adjudication Facility.
  • Must be able to gain access to the Norfolk Naval Base and Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds occasionally, visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment.
