ITA currently recruiting for a Scheduler (IMS) for our USCG HQ Washington DC location.


The Scheduler (IMS) must:

  • Ensure that any tasks/activities and Government decisions associated with Risk Mitigation Planning are incorporated to the risk tracking report and IMS after coordinating with stakeholders

  • Conduct scheduling activities to maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for each specific Surface Program

  • Develop/update/maintain the specific Surface Program event-based IMS.

  • Maintain the IMS accurately so that it can be used as the primary planning and tracking tool in identifying critical development milestone events and accomplishments for all activities defined throughout the life cycle of the Program

  • Attend meetings, proactively seek out and coordinate schedule inputs from various stakeholders to accurately maintain the IMS

  • Prepare scheduling materials (e.g. Gantt Charts, Tables, and Milestone Charts & Pictures) for Project reviews

  • Generate ad-hoc scheduling reports.

  • Ensure the IMS reflects the milestones associated with the elements in the MSAM, Program Acquisition Strategy and PMP

  • Identify and analyze difficulties that arise from conflicts among schedules or delays and propose several resolutions to continue to meet established program timelines/milestones.



  • A minimum of three years experience supporting Major Acquisition Program(s) (DHS/USCG Level I, DoD ACAT I or equivalent) in a scheduling role.
  • Proficient with MS Project in addition to MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Qualified candidate(s) shall have a familiarity in with developing, reviewing and issuing formal revisions of Major Systems Acquisition Manual (MSAM)/DOD 5000 series program documents and non-major acquisition project documents including Shipbuilding Specifications. Be proficient with MS Project 

    In addition, all personnel must:

  • Be proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and MS Outlook and other software/tools provided on the Coast Guard Standard Workstation and provided for a specific position

  • Have a minimum of at least 1 year demonstrated experience with shipbuilding acquisitions

  • Have a minimum of at least 1 year demonstrated experience supporting a major system acquisition program (DHS/USCG Level I, DoD ACAT I or equivalent

  • Must possess a secret clearance
