    ITA International (ITA) is a provider of integrated support services to include analysis, planning, training, acquisition management, cyber/intelligence, engineering, logistics, and maritime support services to government, non-governmental organizations and commercial customers worldwide.


    ITA currently recruiting for a Senior Quality and Structural Engineer for our USCG HQ Lockport, LA location. 


    • Works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. Oversees the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job
    • Conducts shipyard and underway inspections ranging from paint and coating systems to operational and materiel inspections, including deck fittings, ground tackle, mooring, anchoring and towing equipment as well as all associated equipment.
    • Analyzes test plans and associated verification methods to ensure traceability to requirements.
    • Observes functional testing and writes test reports.
    • Testing includes Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E), the Operational Assessment, Independent Operational Assessment, Functional Testing, Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E), Builder’s Trials (BT) and Preliminary Acceptance Trials (PAT).
    • Reviews business processes and provides recommendations for improvements, reviews technical documentation (e.g., Test Plans and Reports) and provides feedback, responds to inquiries for information.
    • Acts as advisor to test engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
    • Conducts detailed review of technical drawings, technical reports, maintenance and support documents, and vendor technical publications.
    • Participates in applicable Matrix Teams and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
    • Position will require between 5 and 10 days per month underway in support of sea trials and delivery.


    • Over 10 years of experience and a Bachelors degree in Engineering.
    • Must possess an active Secret clearance 

    Desired Experience:

    • Experience working at a Coast Guard Project Residence office
    • Experience in American Bureau of Shipbuilding (ABS) standards
    • Experience in Coast Guard acquisition support


    Desired Certifications:

    • Nondestructive and Visual Inspection
    • Shipbuilding and hull construction
    • 40 hour course in theory and application of liquid penetrant and magnetic particle testing
