    ITA International is seeking qualified candidates to join their team in Pascagoula, MS as Government Furnished Material Specialist Journeyman for USCG PRO-GC. This position is contingent upon contract award.


    Duties include but are not limited to, the following tasks:

    • Execute GFM Management support tasks necessary to achieve PROGC
    • Provide material acquisition, inventory management, and PHS&T support to
    • Establish and maintain effective communication and liaison with various process groups; particularly the PROGC Logistics & IPM Divisions, and HII’s COSAL Warehouse
    • Review PROGC and the Shipbuilder’s recommended buy lists, and provide availability and pricing info to assist in the determination of procurement
    • Support PROGC by using the MILSTRIP process to create all GFM requisitions within the USCG’s Fleet Logistics System (FLS). PROGC will be responsible for approval and transmission of created
    • Support PROGC by creating and submitting all NT/NO OSI and SRI requisitions utilizing either the Defense Logistics Agencies (DLA) Defense Automatic Addressing System Center (DAASC) System or Web Requisitioning (WEBREQ).
    • Assist PROGC in the tracking and expediting of all PROGC requisitioned
    • Develop and maintain a material status tracking report, and provide weekly to the
    • Ensure requisition expediting actions are initiated on requisitions with unsatisfactory Estimated Delivery Dates (EDD).
    • Receive, inspect, catalog, store, and protect GFM in contractor provided warehouse
    • Assist PROGC in the receipting for GFM to ensure the material is in an acceptable condition, and in the requisitioned Additionally, when necessary, the Contractor shall submit Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs) and Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) to DLA, or applicable Inventory Control Points (ICPs).
    • Assist PROGC in performing functions associated with reverse The Contractor shall process deficient GFM according to DLA or PROGC instructions.
    • Generate Department of Defense Form 1149 (DD FORM 1149) documenting the transfers of all
    • Develop and maintain Microsoft Office Access tracking tool that catalogs DD FORM 1149 material transfers, and is capable of generating reports the provide procurement and inventory management Provide monthly report of all material transfers to TAM.
    • Upon receipt inspection and cataloging, the contractor shall deliver ready-for-issue GFM to the HII COSAL warehouse located at HII in Pascagoula, MS as needed to support production, testing, certification, or COR/TAM
    • Support PROGC IPM and IPS divisions in residual material reporting and disposition to include conducting physical inventories in contractor or shipbuilder facilities and onboard the under-construction
    • Support 3rd party certification efforts requiring GFM
    • Revise or develop new procedures to execute efficient GFM management.
    • Participate in development of data submittals in response to COR or TAM
    • Support conferences, ILS Management Team Meetings (ILSMT), Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM), and production milestone meetings as assigned.

      Work Environment:
      Required work occurs in an office setting and in an industrial construction environment. The work is sedentary while in the office. The required work performed in the industrial environment occurs outdoors, in warehouses, aboard NSCs during construction and while underway, at sea. Safety conditions require the use of personal protective equipment or clothing as dictated by PROGC and the Shipbuilder’s policies and procedures.

      Physical Abilities:
      The tasking described within this work statement requires moderate walking, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, movement throughout an industrial shipyard facility, movement throughout NSCs under construction, and while underway, at sea. This includes traversing narrow and steep stairways and ladders.


    Qualifications are:

    • Minimum of six years progressive experience in GFM management.
    • Have experience in the use of MILSTRIP requisition process in the USCG’s Fleet Logistics System (FLS)
    • Have a minimum of two years’ experience in the use of DLA requisitioning tools.
    • Have a minimum of two years working in a warehouse environment.
    • Possess an intermediate knowledge of PHS&T methods.
    • Possess an intermediate knowledge of GFM management as it applies to FAR Section 52.245-1, Government Property.
    • Must possess an active SECRET clearance
