ITA International is seeking qualified candidates to join their team in Pearl Harbor, HI as an Anti-Terrorism (AT) Leadership Couse Instructor. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

Anti-Terrorism (AT) Leadership Course Instructor I services as required by Center for Security Forces.  Training shall be conducted for Navy Personnel and Government Civilian Personnel and performed at CENSECFOR Learning Site Chesapeake, Va.  The AT Leadership Course Instructor shall deliver classroom training in support of the Navy’s Antiterrorism Program, specifically the Antiterrorism Officer (ATO) Level II (A-830-0031, J-830-0032, A830-0037), portions of the Naval Security Force Officer (NSFO) (A-7H-0007) and planning portions of the Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure Boarding Officer (VBSS BO) (A-2E-0085) courses of instruction. These courses are designed to provide personnel with the requisite knowledge for coordination, management, and oversight of AT programs and/or operations.

Qualifications

Anti-Terrorism (AT) Leadership Course Instructor I shall possess one of the following:

  • Have attended the Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC) (A-012-0077) (or military service equivalent)
  • Academic credentialing (teacher/professor)
  • Instructor training via an academic institution. Academic ITC requirements should contain, at a minimum, the following Learning Objectives:
  1. Effective communication and questioning techniques
  2. Adult learning theory and principles
  3. Instructional Delivery methods
  4. Lesson delivery performance laboratory
  5. Training environment management
  6. Inter-personal skills
  7. Evaluation and Feedback

Anti-Terrorism (AT) Leadership Course Instructor I shall:

  • Possess high personal standards of technical knowledge and professional competence in delivering training material.
  • Possess the ability to perform in a military environment.
  • Possess a familiarity with the organization and hierarchy of the U. S. Navy, military rank/grade structure.
  • Possess a knowledge of Navy and military terminology, and shipboard/installation environments and configurations.
  • Possess knowledge of basic and advance training techniques and of computer technology applications as they apply to instructional delivery.
  • Have past successful experience in Antiterrorism Program Management, to include completion of at least 2 years assignment as an Installation Antiterrorism Officer (ATO), Installation Security Officer or Assistant Installation Security Officer; OR
  • Have completed a tour of duty as Echelon 2 command antiterrorism/force protection staff officer, or NCIS, Afloat Training Group, or TYCOM level or above antiterrorism assessment or training team.
  • Experience in Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO), preferably as a VBSS Boarding Officer is preferred
  • Shall possess a current certification in Basic First Aid from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Council, American Safety and Health Institute, or other locally available means. Training shall be conducted by a competent facilitator.
    • Stand-alone online or Computer Based Training (CBT) does not satisfy this requirement.
  • Shall possess a current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Council, American Safety and Health Institute, or other locally available means. Training shall be conducted by a competent facilitator.
    • Stand-alone online or CBT does not satisfy this requirement.
  • Have an adjudicated SECRET security clearance
  • Comply with the licensing requirements of the state and local motor vehicle laws. Must possess a valid driver's license, and be certified by the contractor as being fully qualified to operate the vehicles/equipment as appropriate.
  • Possess the fitness and conditioning to support the level of instruction. Personally capable of performing all training evolutions including the ability to effectively complete weapons qualifications in the standing, kneeling and prone positions, ascend or descend ladders and go through narrow passageways, and be free of any abnormal fear of heights.
