ITA International is seeking qualified candidates to support the United States Special Operation Command (USSOCOM) Force Structure, Requirements, Resources and Strategic Assessments Directorate (J8) Strategic Planning and Analysis Division (J8-S) located at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL.

 

Responsibilities

The J8-S provides senior leadership independent analysis and studies involving current and future Special Operations Force (SOF) requirements, inform J8 decisions in development of the SOCOM Program Objective Memorandum (POM), and inform and collaborate with OSD in developing various analytic products and guidance. Additionally, the division plays a key role supporting the Strategic Planning Process (SPP) by providing reliable analytic tools and products by which the Command’s senior leaders can defend resourcing decisions. The J8-S requires support support in employing developing analytic models and tools, providing SOF subject matter expertise, and Operations Research Systems Analysis (ORSA) expertise needed to provide high quality, defendable analysis to inform key decisions made by leaders at the highest level. As a Journeyman Software Programmer, the candidate shall

  • Provide software programming skills necessary to create and maintain the custom applications that comprise the JMA core software products.
  • Create new tools and analytics, enhance, and maintain existing JMA custom software code and applications in accordance with users needs and JMA requirements.
  • Support existing applications for bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Research problems and plan solutions to meet users and JMA requirements.
  • Create new, enhance, and maintain existing database tables and fields as required by JMA custom software and other tools/analytics.
  • Coordinate with Database Admin to develop database structure and stored procedures for functionality of applications.
  • Support users as required with software installation and configuration and JMA required system drivers

Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in software programming;
  • 5 years of experience (can be concurrent with the 7 years above) in programming and database development using Visual Studio, .Net (VB and C#), C/C++, ArcGIS engine, SQL Server, Oracle, and VB Script.
  • 2 years of experience (can be concurrent with the 7 years above) working in Visual Studio development suite.
  • Current DoD Secret clearance and eligible for ACCM read on.
