ITA International is currently seeking motivated and talented individuals who can offer the knowledge, skills, and experience of a Watch Analyst at the Department of Homeland Security National Infrastructure Coordinating Center (NICC) in Arlington, VA.



This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Serve as a member of an operational watch team capable of performing across the full range of watch functions.
  • Maintain operational awareness of the nation's critical infrastructures and key resources.
  • Maintain contact with Sector Specific Agencies, infrastructure protection entities, and private sector partners, including Sector Coordinating Councils, Government Coordinating Councils, and private sector Information Sharing and Analysis Centers.
  • Monitor, drafts, and release message traffic, conduct analysis and assist in the development of courses of action to support operational requirements.
  • Support contingency (deliberate) and crisis action planning
  • Assist in the coordination with various Federal and Local Governmental agencies.
  • Requires personnel to work (8 hour shifts) 5 days a week (rotational).


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in a related discipline, or a combination of education, technical training and equivalent experience.
  • Top Secret Security clearance required
  • Must have experience/expertise in one or more critical infrastructure sectors (as defined by HSPD-7 and the NIPP) and/or emergency management.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience with at least one (1) year of specialized operations center experience.
  • Knowledge of National Incident Management System (NIMS) structure, emergency management operations and background.
  • Broad experience in research, analysis, and writing skills and be able to perform triage on questions, issues, or events involving the nation’s critical infrastructures and key resources.
