ITA currently recruiting for an Acquisition Logistician for our USCG Baltimore, Maryland location. 

Responsibilities

Acquisition Logistician must:

 

  • Coordinate the efforts of the logistics support team, including configuration management, GFE/GFI management, and any other logistic support efforts required within the project office.
  • Support all development and review of PIB Acquisition Documentation.
  • Provide guidance based upon USCG policy or past practice for developing acquisition logistics products and transitioning newly acquired assets to sustainment.
  • Update PIB logistics related program documentation as required, including the Integrated Logistics Support Plan and Configuration Management Plan.
  • Review prospective HPIB RFP language, CDRLs, and DIDs for suitability in meeting HPIB program objectives.
  • Advise APO PIB team lead on suitability of PIB CDRLs that will be used as inputs to APO ILS product development activities.
  • Review all ILS data submissions from external entities including NAVAIR, SPAWAR, USCG SFLC, CG-9335, PRO Gulf Coast as well as the builder. Document issues and provide recommendations to the PIB ILS Manager.
  • Interface with other government agencies in the coordination of the NTNO and NTCGO PARM reviews.
  • Develop a Project Management Plan for APO’s development of PIB ILS products, using the APO’s OPC Project Management framework.
  • Participate in status meetings which address the progress of the PIB ILS Product Support Package for each hull. Indicate gaps or holes in the contract delivered ILS data and make recommendations on how to resolve issues.

Qualifications

Acquisition Logistician must:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience as a logistician supporting Major Acquisition Program(s) (DHS/USCG Level I, DoD ACAT I or equivalent) in an ILS role
  • Specific knowledge of US Navy provided support to the USCG (NAVAIR, SPAWAR, PEO IWS, NSWC PHD) is desirable.
  • Experience with the SFLC STIP, technical documentation development and management, and background in builder logistics

 

In addition, all personnel must:

  • Be proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and MS Outlook and other software/tools provided on the Coast Guard Standard Workstation and provided for a specific position
  • Have a minimum of at least 1 year demonstrated experience with shipbuilding acquisitions
  • Have a minimum of at least 1 year demonstrated experience supporting a major system acquisition program (DHS/USCG Level I, DoD ACAT I or equivalent
